“Prism” acrylic glass lamp by @vancraelingen and @laminigalerieofficiel
PRISM
Michael van Craelingen | La Mini Gallerie
Transparency. Color. Light. Form.
In the PRISM series, Michael van Craelingen transforms the concept of lighting into sculptural presence. Born from a close collaboration with La Mini Galerie in La Rochelle, PRISM explores light as material — a dialogue between clarity and color, mass and void.
Each lamp consists of a rectangular shade of colored acrylic, balanced on a transparent column and anchored by a solid base. Inside floats a cylindrical light source, the beating heart of the piece. By day, PRISM is a study in structure and restraint. By night, it glows — casting hues, shifting shadows, and refracting space.
Just as a prism splits white light into a spectrum, PRISM breaks the boundary between function and art.
A series that invites observation, perception, and reinterpretation.
